Michael McAnerney is from Phoenix, Arizona, and is a senior at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, Arizona. He will be graduating in May of this year with two bachelor’s degrees: one in Criminology/Criminal Justice and the other in Psychology. He is a Dean’s List Recipient and member of the NAU Honors College. In the fall, he will start law school at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

Outside of schoolwork, Michael’s interest lies in advocacy, law, and politics. He is currently the secretary for his pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta and has been part of several social and advocacy groups on campus throughout his time at NAU. As a Peer Mentor and Resident Assistant, Michael enjoyed connecting with incoming students and being able to guide them through the challenges of transitioning into college life. In his free time, he likes to swim, read, and play musical instruments such as his trombone and piano.

Michael had this to say about his internship with Marzulla Law, LLC:

“The experience I’ve had here at Marzulla Law has been invaluable. Being able to participate in all the different aspects of litigation has cemented my desire to go to law school, and the relationships I’ve been able to build with everyone in the office have been wonderful. While at times challenging, the work has been extremely rewarding and helped me grow as a person and a future legal practitioner. I know the support and experience I’ve received here has prepared me for law school and has given me advantages many others do not have, for which I am grateful for.”
