Mia Hanssens is from Santa Monica, California, and is a current Senior at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. She will graduate in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and a minor in Publishing. She is a Dean’s List recipient and a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi.
Mia has always had a passion for writing which impacts how she observes and navigates the world around her. Previously, she was a camp counselor at a summer camp where she led writing-based creative activities. She also has experience working at Salamati Law Firm, a personal injury firm in Los Angeles. When she has the time, Mia enjoys planning events with the planning committee on campus, Emerson Mane Events.
One of her other great joys is traveling. She has spent a large portion of her college experience in exchange programs, including spending a semester abroad in the Netherlands and a semester in Washington D.C. When Mia is not traveling the world, you can find her catching up with her friends over a chai latte or taking a relaxing stroll in a local park.

“What I thought my path after graduation would be has completely changed since I started my internship at Marzulla Law. Being able to get advice and discuss with professionals in the field has not only helped me develop my communication and problem-solving skills but has helped me develop as a person. I have learned so much about what I would like out of a career and what I enjoy in a workplace. Both of those discoveries I find invaluable.”
